Meet the Founder
Tomasz Sławek
Ceo of MatadorSportsGroup / Founder
As a current Division 1 soccer player at Northern Illinois University (NIU) and a former player at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), I’ve experienced the highest levels of collegiate competition firsthand. My journey has taken me across some of the most competitive environments in American and international soccer, giving me a deep understanding of the recruiting and scouting process from both an athlete’s and evaluator’s perspective.
Beyond college soccer, I’ve played at the USL League Two level with River Light FC, competing against some of the top USL2 talent in the country and even facing a second-division Mexican club in high-level competition. Prior to my college and USL2 career, I trained and played with a first-division Polish club, sharing the pitch with former EFL Championship players, second-division Spanish talent, and both current and former Poland youth and senior national team players. These experiences have given me invaluable insight into the standards, expectations, and pathways to success at the collegiate and professional levels.
Off the field, I am a Level 1 PFSA-certified scout, currently on my way to earning my Level 2 certification, which will make me a fully qualified talent identifier for professional organizations in both the college and pro game. I’ve built a network of over 400+ college coaches on both the men’s and women’s sides, providing athletes with direct access to key decision-makers across all levels of college soccer.
My passion lies in helping aspiring athletes navigate the recruiting process, maximize their potential, and secure opportunities at the next level. Through Matador Sports Group, I bring my firsthand experience, scouting expertise, and extensive network to empower the next generation of athletes on their path to success.
